Have you experienced a miscarriage, stillbirth, infant death, or ectopic pregnancy?
Many of our lives, either directly or indirectly, have been touched by miscarriage, stillbirth, infant death, or other such perinatal loss. As with any death, the need for healing in these situations is great. However, most people don’t know where to turn, despite the availability of many good resources right here in the Des Moines metro area.
Mercy Perinatal Hospice Nurse and Bereavement Coordinator Ann Valdez will present A Gentle Place to Fall on January 10, 2012 at 7:00 PM in the St. Clare room at St. Francis of Assisi Church. In this talk, Ann will discuss healing resources for individuals and families both in and after the hospital. Ann has worked tirelessly for many years to facilitate healing in this area and bring attention to needs of those suffering from perinatal loss. As a nationally-recognized authority, Ann is a frequently-requested speaker on a wide range of perinatal bereavement topics.
- Help people who might be in the throes of perinatal loss;
- Inform and align people who might be interested in working in ministry to promote healing in this area;
- Simply raise awareness and pass along info not widely available.
Whether or not you plan to attend the talk, please consider forwarding the information along anyone you know who might be interested.A Gentle Place to Fall Tuesday, January 10, 7:00 PM St. Francis of Assisi Church 7075 Ashworth Road, West Des Moines, IA Saint Clare Room
